Pendo 101: Pages

The Basics

Let’s go over some page viewing basics. Page analytics give you insight into where users are spending their time inside your product.

Pages List View

page

  1. Segment: you’ll notice this filter option throughout Pendo. Segments are used to filter the data that is displayed on the page - default is everyone. You can read more about segments in the related article below.

  2. Date Range: the date range will also follow you throughout Pendo. As its name implies, it filters the data by a specific time period. There are predetermined values of today, yesterday, last 7 days, and last 30 days. You’re also able to specify custom date ranges if you desire.

  3. Number of Visitors: curious which pages everyone (segment) has been using the most over the last 30 days (date range)? Click on the column header to sort the page data by the total number of unique visitors.

  4. Additional Actions: hidden in the dropdown behind no.4, you’ll find options to edit columns and download CSV. More information on what other columns are available, as well as explanations of each data set can be found in the article link below.

Page Details

If you click on any of the pages in the list, you’ll see additional information for the page.

  1. Details: includes additional information for the page such as Name, Group, rule(s), and Created by.

  2. Number of Visitors: the number of unique visitors that have visited the page within the segment and date range specified at the top of the page.

  3. Number of Accounts: The number of unique accounts that have visited the page within the segment and date range specified at the top of the page. For example: if two unique visitors from a single unique account visit the page, the total number of accounts would only increase by one.

  4. Average Time: average time per day all visitors, across all accounts, spent interacting with the page.
